Senior Capstone Progress-Post 1

Hello Online World,

My name is Sophia Tibbs and I am a Communication Design student at the University of Cincinnati. As of May 2020, I am beginning my capstone research for my final semester in 2021. As with any project, the brainstorming and ideating step is always first. So here are my ideas:

1. A capstone project that somehow addresses the concept of Art Therapy/Art as Therapy. Maybe it is an art as therapy experience for individuals to participate in or a way of informing the community more about Art Therapy.

2. Continuing the Kidney Kindness Campaign I started developing as a student at UC Blue Ash College. I would either focus on informing, raising awareness, or developing the kidney patient packet further.

3. An augmented reality app that brings scenes in stories to life, it could also be an installment in libraries.

4. A combination typeface of regular type and braille type. It may also cater toward other individuals with reading disabilities.

5. A campaign, app, or social media project focused on promoting cultural diversity in music.

6. Lastly, cards and/or badges for individuals with food allergens or sensitivities.

My next update will be the final three that I believe I can adequately research, develop, and produce in two semesters time. From then I will be posting research updates.
